Haymaking 101: # 02 - Soil Preparation and Fertilizing

After you've decided which hay crop to plant, you may need to prepare the field by adding the right amount of soil nutrients. Adequate amounts of lime, nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and a handful of other essential elements are needed to both help you produce high amounts of hay and minimize the amount of unwanted weeds.
